Written & performed by Winnie Arhin, Big Girl Words is a one-woman show of fiction within fiction as young black writer Ama pitches a series of characters and their stories to a dispassionate producer. Filmed in the very cosy Pleasance Theatre across two cameras essentially inside the audience, capturing the chaos that could shift from audience members being pulled from the crowd, to characters coming into the stalls, was challenging, but ultimately caught a sense of how frenetic the show was.
