
5 and a half years in the insight AND B2B world
Just before Covid lockdowns kicked in I joined Relish Research as their in-house Creative Executive. Practically speaking, the primary role of this position was the editing of qual research videos, often times self filmed. As lockdown had switched the industry to remote work and platforms, the task was often to find a way to make sub par footage look professional by using animation and effects. I viewed it as the equivalent of creating fast turn around news reports for our clients.
My other responsibilities ranged across anything media related: updating our site, designing infographics and slides, internal promotional material, creating a newsletter, and so on. I also helped open up video creation to animating quant data through my mastery of After Effects and a new AI voiceover service.
Over time, as things opened up again and the company began to shift, filming became more common, and late 2024/early 2025 this culminated in a project for the Football Association and Howdens covering the impact of their Game Changer Program. This involved 4 days of filming around the country at different clubs to conduct interviews, animating statistics we had gathered, and editing all of this into a high quality package. This helped get the Game Changer Program a second round of funding, something I’m proud I could help with.
